Sahajnet and Community emails – updated March 2023
Terms and Conditions of Use
- Sahajnet group members are not obliged to join the Community group. However, a necessary condition of joining the Community group is membership of Sahajnet.
- The Community forum exists to nurture Sahaj dynamism, dharma, creativity and culture, and to provide enjoyment and inspiration. Negative messages of any kind should not be posted on the forum, which is not an appropriate place to air personal grievances or promote disagreement, dissent and disharmony.
- The highest standards of courtesy, kindness and respect towards all should be observed on Community forum. Although emails are sent only to members, messages could easily get forwarded on and end up almost anywhere. It would therefore be prudent to consider whatever we post as being in the public domain. Discretion and wisdom are required of all members, particularly wherever personal, private or otherwise potentially sensitive information may be involved. Shri Mataji has told us that only Sahaja Yogis can “blacken the Name of God”. Whatever we do and say can matter greatly. It is important to remain aware of that online, as elsewhere, we are ambassadors for Shri Mataji and Sahaja Yoga.
- Community forum should not be used as a means of promoting businesses, or other personal or non-Sahaj enterprises; nor should it be used to launch fundraising initiatives of any kind unless first discussed with, and approved by, UKCASY.
- The forum’s management team reserves the right to remove anyone from the forum membership list without notice.
- It should be noted that the content of emails posted on the forum may not necessarily represent the views of Life Eternal Trust (UK) or of the UK Council for the Advancement of Sahaja Yoga (UKCASY).
- In respect of any message posted on Sahajnet or Community, UKCASY/LET(UK) do not accept any liability for the consequences of: (i) opening the message (eg effects of software virus); or (ii) using the message or the information it contains.
Please also note the following guidelines:
Typically, emails sent via Community are:
- (a) to share a Sahaja Yoga experience, or some interesting, auspicious or relevant external news.
- (b) to announce a small scale local SY event or meeting.
- (c) to offer, or request, the sharing of travel arrangements or accommodation etc.
- (d) to suggest putting our collective attention to some matter of concern.
An email sent to Sahajnet may, occasionally, after moderation, not get sent out to the group. The reason might be that the message:
- (e) has already been sent on Community.
- (f) is not an important announcement concerning either a national or international SY event.
- (g) is not related directly to Shri Mataji, or is not considered to be a crucial Sahaja Yoga announcement.
- (i) is not a communication to the Collective from UKCASY, Central Committee, World Foundation or some other Sahaja Yoga Council.
- (j) is the continuation of an ongoing personal conversation between individual members.
General
- (k) Please ensure you have adequate anti-virus protection.
- (l) Beware of using “Reply All”.
- (m) To join the list, a new member must be recommended by an established Sahaja Yogi as a regular participant in their local Collective.
- (n) Personal data is collected, processed and stored securely by LET(UK) in accordance with UK GDPR. List members may request to be removed from either list at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” (in “Settings”).
